Training Local Stakeholders in the Prevention of Re-offending (Jan 2010-Dec 2011)

Also in... (Français)

Following the European GRUNDTVIG project “Innovative Strategies for the Prevention of Re-offending”  (2007-2009), the partners decided they wanted to continue their work. The European Commission, via its Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) gave us the chance to receive a grant that gives essential financial support to the project.

This new project aims to tackle two vital aspects of the reintegration of ex-convicts: the preparation for the release and re-insertion into society. These two aspects concern both the penitentiary administration and local authorities.

The project will experiment innovative training modules thanks to the organisation of 24 specialised training units completed with assistance measures for local stakeholders.

The contents and evaluations of these modules will nourish the analytical work derived from the project’s working sessions, which in turn will lead to the creation of a common European training tool kit.

All the work undertaken during this project will also be used to develop a series of distant learning modules that will allow to pursue the project’s activities after its two-year duration period.

Let us hope that the work that has started will be rich and fruitful ! More information in the two comming years !
