Efus at the 22nd German Congress on Crime Prevention, 19-20 June, Hanover

Hanover, Germany, April 2017 – The 22nd German Congress on Crime Prevention (GCOCP) and the 11th Annual International Forum (AIF) will be held on 19 and 20 June 2017 in Hanover, Germany (Hanover Congress Centre – HCC). The main topic this year will be “Prevention & Integration”.

Efus will participate in several sessions:

  • with a lecture titled “Local Institutions Against Violent Extremism – Efus LIAISE project” held by Elizabeth Johnston as part of the Annual International Forum (Tuesday 20 June, 9am, Runder Saal, in English)
  • with a presentation of the “Just & Safer Cities for All” (JUST) project against discriminatory violence (Monday 19 June, 4.30pm, Raum 23, in German)
  • as a contributor to a theme box organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime  (UNODC) on participatory and community-oriented crime prevention (Tuesday 20 June, 1:30 pm, Runder Saal, in English).

Moreover, Efus and the German-European Forum on Urban Security (DEFUS) will have an information booth in the exhibition area (Booth number 2069, Eilenriedhalle A).

Efus is a longstanding international partner of the German Congress on Crime Prevention, which was founded in 1995 as a yearly national convention on crime prevention. Its aim is to present and strengthen crime prevention within a broad societal framework in order to contribute to reducing crime and the number of victims, but also the fear of crime.
