Paris, 20 February 2013 – Efus’ Executive Committee will meet on 25 and 26 March in Mannheim (Germany).
On the agenda are the summary of activities since the previous Executive Committee meeting, in October 2012 in Paris, the results of the 2012 Conference “Security, Democracy and Cities: The Future of Prevention”, and the follow-up actions to be taken, in particular the dissemination of the Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis Manifesto.
Participants will also discuss Efus’ 2013 work programme and strategic plan, which draws the orientations for the development of the association in the medium term. Members of the EC will also be informed of the financial results of the year 2013 and will discuss the 2013 budget.
The two-day meeting will conclude by a debate on issues linked to immigration flows, with a presentation by representatives of the city of Mannheim and of the State of Baden-Württemberg (Department of police, Immigration and Social Affairs Services, Federal police) of their policy towards immigrants, in particular those from Bulgaria and Romania who will have the right to live and work anywhere in the European Union from 1st of January 2014 onwards.
Representatives of the national Forums will also meet in Mannheim on 25 March.
