Meyrin is a Swiss municipality located in the Geneva canton. It is the fourth most populated city of the Geneva canton after Geneva, Vernier and Lancy.

Security local contract signed in: september 2013 between the State and the municipality.
This contract enables to lead several joint police actions targeted on 3 axes : struggle against burglary and all theft; public tranquility and road traffic law violations. This contract also allows flexibility in the implementation of joint actions and the deployment of city and cantonal policemen depending on events.The analysis of the result of the last survey conducted on Geneva inhabitants focusing on security (2013) led to a recommendation to implement a community-based policing model that has translated into the reinforcement of the CLS and the implementation of staff positions dedicated to community-policing in Vernier.
