Working apart together
EU conference on the administrative approach to prevent
and tackle crime
21-22 March 2016, Amsterdam
Conference organised by the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice
Administrative authorities often have a critical role to play in tackling organised crime, alongside the work of law enforcement and judicial authorities, by combining tools at administrative level to prevent criminal infiltration in the public sector or local economy as well as by taking part in coordinated interventions (‘working apart together’).
This EU Presidency conference aims to give insight in the way administrative measures are or can be applied in member states, additional to actions under criminal law, with the aim to prevent and tackle serious and organised crime and what further EU actions are needed to improve cooperation between Member States in cross border cases.
On this occasion, the Italian Forum for Urban Security will present the local Italian experience in the field.
