1. General Information :
The agglomeration community of the Nazaire region and the Loire estuary (CARENE) is an intermunicipal French structure in the department of Loire-Atlantique. In order to put together a sustainable development project that will guarantee harmonious and cohesive development for the ten communes in the agglomeration, the CARENE has built up 9 areas of expertise: economic development, environmental planning, housing policy, urban policy, car parks and on-street parking, tourism, cultural and sports facilities, protection and development of the natural and living environment, and major urban services (water and sanitization, rubbish collection, public transport)
