SAVE THE DATE! Cities & Drugs: Towards local governance balancing security, health and social cohesion

As part of the Coalition of the Willing against Drug-Related Violence and Trafficking, we are organising the conference “Cities & Drugs: Towards Local Governance Balancing Security, Health and Social Cohesion.”

Organised in partnership with the City of Brussels and with the support of the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA), the conference will bring together representatives from European cities, policymakers, practitioners and experts to discuss local responses to drug-related challenges.

The event will provide an opportunity to hear directly from cities, share practical experiences, and exchange perspectives with both high-level representatives and local actors from across Europe. The programme will focus on how local governance can effectively balance security, public health and social cohesion in addressing drug-related issues.

The conference will take place in Brussels on 17 June 2026 and will be followed by the Efus General Assembly on 18 June 2026 offering additional networking and policy discussion opportunities.
