Janina Hentschel

Janina Hentschel (M.A.) is since January 2021 head of department at the office of communal prevention for the city of Augsburg. Before she was manager for urban conflict management and Communities That Care (CTC) at the same department. She has a master degree in peace and conflict studies. Her master thesis she wrote about the potentials of urban pioneers for urbane safety in an South African township. From 2009 to 2010 she coordinated as junior development worker in Namibia a volunteer programme called “weltwärts” for the German association for International Cooperation (giz). She is conflict facilitator and an expert on urban conflicts, inclusive urban development an CTC in urban hubs.
