Executive Board Member, Programs and Qualification, forumZFD (Germany)

Alexander Mauz studied international social work and peace studies and works as Executive Board Member for Programmes and Qualification at forumZFD. He is leading international and national programmes on peacebuilding, conflict prevention and non-violent conflict transformation and is a member of various Civil Society Organisation (CSO) networks in Germany.

In previous positions he facilitated the cooperation between CSOs and municipalities to set up social services in Eastern Europe and led projects on conflict-sensitive integration of internally displaced persons and refugees in municipalities in the South Caucasus. He believes that sustainable changes are only possible if civil society and local governments work hand in hand.
