Internship – Project Management

Created in 1987 under the auspices of the Council of Europe, the European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) is the only European network of local and regional authorities devoted to urban security. Bringing together 250 cities and regions from 16 countries, the network aims to:

  • To promote a balanced approach to urban security that combines prevention, sanction and social cohesion;
  • To support local authorities in the design, development and evaluation of their local security policy;
  • To obtain recognition of the role of local and regional authorities in drafting and implementing national and European policies.

Intership Description 

The Project Manager Intern will spend a period of three to six months, from January 2018, working with the project managers at Efus and supporting them in every aspect of their work.

The intern’s main tasks will be to:

  • Participate in the association’s thematic programmes
  • Carry out research and analyse information
  • Write briefs on topics as well as articles for the website
  • Promote contact with local authorities
  • Help organise events for the network
  • Produce practice sheets
  • Translate working papers
  • Attend and participate in team meetings

Further information will be given based on the intern’s start date.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be ready and able to integrate into a dynamic collective working environment
  • Have excellent organisational and writing skills
  • Be fluent in French and English, and preferably speak another foreign language
  • Have excellent MS Office skills

Pay

  • Allowance up to the legal compensation in force in France
  • Compulsory training contract (convention de stage)
