This publication has been produced by the European Forum for Urban Safety and it was funded by the Government of Canada through the National Crime Prevention Centre (Public Safety Canada). It has been developed in connection with the “Guidance on local safety audits: A compendium of international practices”.
The publication explains the definition, causes, mechanisms and consequences of trafficking as well as the importance and recognition of the local level as key player to the fight against trafficking in human beings.
