The European Forum is delighted to welcome the city of Haz-Zebbug amongst its members. Haz-Zebbug is the first Maltese municipality to join the Efus-network, which is now represented in 18 European countries.

“Ħaż-Żebbuġ” or “Città Rohan” is one of the oldest towns in Malta and has today 12 000 inhabitants. Small in size, the muncipality nevertheless wants to play a very active part within the Efus. Haz-Zebbug’s Mayor Alfred Grixti therefore starts his city’s membership by organising, in cooperation with the Efus an international conference on cross-border issues of urban security in his town. For two days, May 5th and 6th 2011, crime prevention experts from several European countries as Italy, Hungary and the UK will join their Maltese counterparts to discuss cross-border issues of urban security, which are of particular importance for a small country.

Interested Efus members can still register free of charge to participate in the conference by contacting the Efus.
