Efus partner of the European Crime Prevention Award to be announced in Vilnius, Lithuania, in December

Paris, November 2013 – Efus is partner of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior for the organisation of the European Crime Prevention Award and the annual Best Practice Conference of the European Crime Prevention Network (EUCPN), to be held on 11 and 12 December 2013 in Vilnius.

As the current president of the European Union (until 31st December), Lithuania selected “domestic violence” as the overall theme of these events.

Efus took part in a preparatory meeting and on-site visit in Vilnius, in September (read here).

A total of 18 best practice projects have been submitted by EU Member States to the competition. The jury, which includes experts from Ireland, Greece, Italy and Lithuania, evaluated them and will select the three best ones. The winner will be announced on 11 December during the Award gala ceremony. Prizes of 10,000 EUR and 5,000 EUR will be awarded.

All the projects will be presented at the Best Practice Conference and also in the publication that will be released after this event and which will include a description of each project as well as summaries of the discussions that will have taken place at the conference and recommendations for practitioners across Europe.
