Methodological Tools for the Definition of
Local Security Policies in Europe
Having a clear and precise view of the crime situation in a specific territory is a necessary prerequisite prior to implementing local actions aimed at improving individual and collective security. Local security audits and other methodological tools provide local elected officials with the knowledge they need to design and implement their crime prevention strategies. The main objective of the project is to disseminate the local safety audits approach among European local and regional authorities and to make it mainstream.
