Created in 1987, the European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) is the only European network of local and regional authorities devoted to urban security. Bringing together 250 cities and regions from 16 countries, the network aims to:

  • To promote a balanced approach to urban security that combines prevention, sanction and social cohesion
  • To support local and regional authorities in the design, development and evaluation of their security policy
  • To obtain recognition of the role of local and regional authorities in drafting and implementing national and European policies.


Internship Description

The Project Manager Intern will work under the supervision of the deputy director with the project managers at Efus and support them in every aspect of their work.

The intern’s main tasks will be to:

  • Participate in the association’s thematic programmes
  • Carry out research and analyse information
  • Write briefs on topics as well as articles for the website
  • Promote contact with local and regional authorities
  • Help organise events for the network
  • Produce practice sheets
  • Translate working papers
  • Participate in team meetings

The successful candidate will:

  • Be ready and able to integrate into a dynamic collective working environment
  • Have excellent organisational and writing skills
  • Be fluent in French and English, and preferably speak another foreign language
  • Have excellent MS Office skills



  • Must have a Training contract between university and Employer (Convention de stage)
  • legal hourly rate plus allowance for transport and meals
  • Full time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration 3 to 6 months
  • Location : Paris XXème (metro Porte de Bagnolet)
